A friend with five kids who had long ago made her peace with something less than a House Beautiful once consoled me when I was bogged down with four cases of chicken pox and was losing my mind to laundry. "Hey, when we go to heaven," she said, "God will only ask two questions: 'Did you love the people I gave you to love? Did you appreciate the gifts I put into your life?'"
This reminds me of the song by Gloria Gaither: We have this moment Today.
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come, We have this moment--Today.
We must take good care of the precious ones that God has entrusted to our care.
